What is an average CTR for one of my Campaigns I'm getting an average of 7.9% on others it's like .02%? Just looking for some insight

I will say this, since starting adwords just 10 days ago my sales have been over 1,000 for the week which is way up...So I'm happy either way, just looking for some insite.

7.9% is really good. anything above 1% is really good in my opinion. you just have to cut out the bad keywords or attempt to improve their CTRs via split testing various ads and landing pages.

It really depends on the keyword and your ad (and ad position). Perhaps with some keywords you get even during the night a worse/better CTR....

I would say 7.9% is not bad at all. But for sure it depends on a keyword you have.

there are many factors that give you different CTR for sure. My average is currently at 23.6% but depending on the keyword there is a large range. 7.9 isn't bad. Are you in the top ad spot?

I'm getting 83% on mine. I should probably work on lowering it...

I find it sad that some people have like 1% and are working hard to get it up, while im the opposite. have a super high CTR, and have to work on getting it down... Anyone notice this?

That just means that you have a good keyword and are doing good at promoting it. If it is all legit traffic then I wouldn't worry about lowering it.

I want to get started with adwords, I have about $500 start-up money. Is there any guides that you guys suggest?

Stick with one niche and really keep your keywords to a few and really targeted. I would suggest going after the trademark name if they let you and go for the top spot. That way your ctr will be higher and and your conversions will be higher as well. Hope that gives you a starting point.
