What is a good way to market my Web Design Services locally?

    I have been marketing my wordpress web design services locally on craigslist, and have had luck with very minimal amount of clients in low price margins.

    But sales have been slow. And I would like to increase my prices but I haven't had luck with increasing my prices.

    All my clients have been extremely happy with me, as most require basic website setup with a website that looks nice. Most of my clients are not technical at all so they can justify paying even for basic services.

    The issue I am having is getting more local clients, and perhaps increasing my prices to the $500-$1000 range.

    I have thought about running Google Ads, but wanted to see if anyone has any tips on how to find higher paying clients more consistently.

    Have you tried stacking your website offer with some bonuses? and pitching on the phone. Im currenly doing that myself here in Ankara

    post ads billboard on your local strategic city,advertise on radio ads on your local radio,by the way pitch the company or small business by email marketing pitch them one on one good luck

    First off is this a one time charge and thats it? Id find a way to add on monthly recurring services. Thats an easy pair to upsell into seo ads marketing in general, and if you dont feel comfortable offering those services you just take commission from referring it to someone who does.

    Next if youre going offline have you considered walking in face to face with a demo site for them to see? Bring in a tablet, show them what they are buying. As opposed to describing it, you can say hey this is the finished product. Thats pretty powerful in sales. Show them what their competitors who are doing better then them have too, appeal to authority/envy

    Run a give away for a free website. May sound like a lot but it can generate a ton of leads.



    You can run FB ads or Adwords to local businesses. You can also email the offer to local businesses. Send all the traffic to a landing page that will gather their information, email, phone contact name, ect. At the end of the campaign, select a winner and give them the free website.

    But it doesn't end there. Now you should have a decent list of applicants and all their contact info. All these contacts are now leads. Send out an email announcing the winner and offer them a discount on a website.

    If you offer other services like local SEO, SEO to rank the site or social media, include them.

    You can run a ppc for your landing page with focus to local location.

    Have you tried to meet up with any local "small business associations" to offer your services, that may be a great way to put yourself in front of a larger amount of businesses.

    Check when they have their meetings and go, get a coffee, chat with them and make connections , get your business cards out there ..

    My theory is if you can have the customer find you then you can sell for a higher price. I would suggest trying PPC I think you will find a better paying client there. Also if you can get your business on GMB then you have a goldmine.. I plan on doing this sometime soon

    Find local business's websites via Google Maps or social media, and if they look shitty & outdated, contact them with an offer to upgrade their website. That one worked for me a few times.

    Partnerships. Work with the local chamber of commerce, etc.
    Once you do a couple of sites, they often will put you in their referral list and from there you're golden.
