Like if people know that you don't have a 9 to 5 job like everyone else. But still have money.

What's a good business front to say you do that is believable for someone who makes like $1,600/mo or more?

Leme here what ideas you would say you did for a living?

E-commerce store.
Seo
Web design company
The options are unlimited

Why you need a front unless you are doing something illegal. Just tell them you are in IT industry, but can't say where you work and what exactly you do because of a NDA you signed.

Freelance coding/web development

Slangin that sheeit

Foreign exchange trading

Streetcorner Pharmacist

See the pattern? Some internet based bs or drugs, two things that often solve most of life's problems :)

Lmao. Street corner pharmacist. Yeah, I think a fake internet based business is the way to go.

Nah. Its not illegal. Just grey area. And you know how judgmental family and people are.

So I like to just avoid that.

Just tell them you're in sales.

That covers everything.

And if they ask what you're selling, say "I'm actually a broker. It's my job to move unwanted product. Last night I had to get rid of a warehouse full of shit. Actual shit. I sold it for pennies on the dollar but I got it moved. The owner needed the space for a new shipment of baby bottles."

They'll stop asking after that.

Say you work for the government and can't talk about it.

if someone asks just share your method. Don't be ashamed of what you do!

Just tell them you are a Freelancer. Nothing wrong with that.

Marketing. Keep it broad and don't be specific as to what the grey area is. For instance, if you're an affiliate marketer pushing crappy products or getting people to complete surveys for incentives that don't exist, say that you "help other people advertise their products".

I agree. Most people get confused when you say you are into Marketing and just think you are some kind of salesman. Which should work out fine for yourself.

Absolutely. If they ask what you're selling, say that you can't say because of the "nature of the business".

What are they going to do? Put a gun to your head?

I have the same problem when the people ask, with help of some friend I figure out the most simple and powerful works.

CPA = Affiliate Marketer
E-com expert
E-biz consultant
Owner of viral sites
SEM consultant
etc

And of course as @alwaysinvisible say "sales"

Professional lawn mower. Always the best excuse and job on your CV.
