Hi! It's always exciting to share knowledge, and today I want to share something I learned about Keyword Research. With this 4-step process, and I was able to find a keyword for my website that has great potentials to rank. Step 1: Analyse Search Volume for Potential Target Terms (Identifying Opportunities for Improvement) > Input your website url to SEMRush and look for "organic search positions" for your website. > Point out top 10 keywords in terms on Search Volume, your website is already ranking for. Step 2: Examine Top Results For the listed keywords, look for indicators such as: > SERP's with the lack of strong recognisable brand names. > Bad EMDs ranking > listing with low-quality aesthetics and poor on-page content > pages with low-level link competition Step 3: Examine backlinks and Traffic Value Check for backlinks to the pages shown on SERPs using Mozbar (or any other tool you prefer) Step 4: Analyse Competitor Strategies Look for anything unique your competitors are doing. When you execute all these 4 steps correctly, you should be able to find a keyword for your website that is capable of ranking. This should not take more than 20 minutes. Then just create a page round the keyword; the typical "SEO Content". Build some quality contextual backlinks to the page and drive some traffic to it. Your ranking for the keyword is sure to increase! Special Thanks to: http://searchengineland.com/advanced-page-level-keyword-research-279645 Thank you all!
