My very first digital product was published a few days ago here on BHW, and I am very happy. I cannot describe to you how much. So I decided to share with you my thoughts related to WebDevPro.

The best thing about this is not the money or to be famous in this community, but all those struggles and emotions I had during the period working on this. I guess some of you will know what I am referring to. That's some kind of fule I was getting because I was so excited working on the ebook, making those bonuses, website, and after all that BST that was at first rejected. I forgot to include the price...

So let's start.

How I got the idea to make WebDevPro?

I am not sure, but I think I read the post from IG King how he launched his ebook and what we can learn from there. So after reading I asked my self what kind of digital product I can make that's going to be valuable/useful for others? A few days later I got an idea to make an ebook on how to make make money by making/designing websites. So thank you @IGKing !

What was the process?

In my opinion, the hardest thing was to make a plan for what to include in the ebook, after that writing was the easier part. I wanted to explain everything you should know about that, and to not forget something important. Honestly, I cannot remember now how much time I spent on writing, but let's say I start somewhere in December 2019 and I finished at the beginning of February - I think.

When I finished my ebook, I sent it to my friends to check if it's okay, is there anything I need to fix/add in the ebook. Would they be able to use that information from the ebook right away and so on. After that, I was sure I can move on on the next step and that was a cover design/ebook design/website design.

Those who bought the ebook know that I wouldn't be able to launch this without my people. My GF helped me with design and she was a big support to me because sometimes it was very hard to work 8 hours my regular work and then to continue working on the ebook. Especially if start counting from March when we were all locked due to the coronavirus. Also, her sister helped me with the graphics and my friend was very generous and he is creator of the explanation video.

So yeah, if I was alone I guess it would take me more time and resources to launch my first digital product.

When I had design and graphics, I decided that I will use Canva for making the ebook. That was my first time using the Canva, and it was not that easy, because I had to copy/paste text, make sure everything looks nice, and so on.

The next step was to make a website, I did that in WordPress using WooCommerce. I was testing if PayPal/Stripe is working fine, can you download the digital product easily, etc.

Almost forgot to mention Client Scraper. It was a real struggle to make that work because of Google and his API, and those restrictions they have. There is like limit how much information you can scrape and so on, but in the end everything works. Which is very important.

After finish all of that, and having everything prepared the only thing that's left was to publish this here on BHW. My first attempt was somewhere in April if I remember and I had to wait due to an increased volume of sales thread submitted at that time. I don't like to wait, but this learned me how to be patient and how to wait for something.

Thank you BHW for this lesson.

What I've learned and what I would do differently?

There are a lot of things I learned on this journey. As I said I learned how to be patient, how to help others, and that you need to take help from your friends and family from time to time. Also, this thought me that if you want to make something to sell (digital product) it needs to be very valuable and useful for others. Before that, I was trying everything and nothing felt like this. Why? Because I was making it for the money and that's the reason why I wasn't successful before, and now I made it for the audience and community.

People are saying to me that my product cost much more, maybe they are right. But I am looking this as a contribution to this community that helped me to step into the IM world for a small fee. And I think that's okay.

What would I do differently? Hm... I guess I would do everything the same I guess, except forgeting to put the price in the BST. :D

The first thing you need to think about before making and launching the product is that going to be useful? Are you going to help others with that product? How are you going to help them?

If you have all answers start working on that right now. Don't tell yourself you are going to start it tomorrow or next week/month, because you are not. Whenever I said to myself I will start it tomorrow I never started or I started but that wasn't what I wanted and never finished it.

I can say it's true because I was waiting for 2 years to start my second Amazon journey and once I said to myself I am starting right now I knew I am going to do it for real.

Hope I didn't forget something, if you have some questions or some tips for me feel free to share it here.

P.S. I cannot wait now to start my another journey, it's amazing to feel that something ( I guess it's hype) :D and that's worth more than a $1B. That feel.

Thanks for posting this...

When it came to planning the book and it's content did you use any particular template/ see what others had done/ id critical points to be covered etc?

Thanks

Phil

Great to read your story and wish you all the luck for the sales!

Can you explain what you mean with "client Scraper"? Thanks a lot!

While planning the content I was trying to write down what do I need to know if I want to start with this business? So the questions were how to make a website therefore I need to know html, css, a little bit of JS and at the end WordPress. Next thing when I learn all those things is how to find a client, where? How to contact them? What to offer them etc...

I hope it will help you too.

Will check this out in full. Great share!

Thanks, if you have any questions please feel free to ask. :)

Client Scraper is a program I have for scraping clients from Google. Please take a look at this video:

Thanks.

The guide is for my daughter to make a little side income while at school and it struck me that writing an ebook or producing a video course or two might be an interesting and profitable learning journey.

That's what I am going to do next. Something like mentorship, because I am right now a mentor to my friend. He is learning for 2 months now how to work and I think he will be able to find a job after 6 more months of learning and working.
