The top gamers desktop you can afford, or a Sager laptop. It will last you for years and both will be user upgradable for a few years.

Well, a top notch graphic card - which really makes gaming desktops gaming desktops - is not really needed for botting tasks or for most IM tasks either unless you're into graphic design. What he really need is a powerful CPU, lots of RAM and a kick ass SSD either in his own config or in a VPS.

On the other hand, it depends on the bot too, some coders can't optimize for shit and their bots are a resource nightmare. I can't really speak of nowadays instagram bots, because i don't use any (i had FL, i don't anymore), but different bots can have quite different resource usage.
The other thing that some people may not realize, that these multithreaded bots can require quite the bandwidth. For instance when i run my Twitter bot 24/7 using 100 threads, the data usage of the bot is about 1 TB per month just with scraping users, following them, unfollowing later and a few tweets per day. So you also need a fast and stable internet connection for botting. Running hundreds of accounts using hundreds of threads will even affect the web browsing experience more than likely, so you'll need to use a connection optimization tool like cFosSpeed.

i bought a small silent mini windows desktop which runs now 24-7 and its real ok. they don't const much and do the job
