Having been a smoker for almost 10 years, I completely agree with this chart. It's been a few months, and I feel great.

Anyone looking to quit should pick up a VAPE and some e-liquid, the urge to smoke will disappear.

My birthday was on 14th August, this year I promised to myself not to smoke. Till now I am up to it. I have not smoke or consumed any wine, whiskey (Drink beer occasionally) in the last almost 2 months. I don't know the feeling exactly but I want to quit because I have Asthma. Hope my will power takes me to my goal to quit it completely.

    Congrats!
I stopped at beginning of this year. When I get weak I remind how hard it was to do sports while I was a smoker. I never want to have a bad condition like there again...

This month is the month for me to quit. After 15 years of smoking a pack a day, it's finally the time to say - enough!

October (Stoptober) has been the "quit smoking" month for a while, but it was me who decided to quit, as I have forgotten about that campaign.

OK, lungs, I'm finally going to stop torturing you :D

I quit smoking after 20 years. Been a non smoker for over 5 years now (apart from a twice a year tab when pissed)

Have to give it to you straight. Never felt like running a marathon or doing an Ironman. Didnt tap into previously unknown resources of energy and health. I have pretty much just been the same old Duffers only I dont smell like an ashtray.

The only positive I can offer is that friends of the same age who didnt quit are visiting the doctor frequently while I feel pretty fresh.

Give up as soon as you can. Its a killer and every single cigarette is driving you closer to the grave just dont expect to suddenly feel reborn.

Quit 10 days ago (so I wouldn't really call it quiting at this point) but already, the urge to smoke is disappearing and I can feel this weird natural energy supply within me starting to poke its head around. Whenever I would smoke, I would be crummy afterwards. What kind of fucking terrible habit is that?

I would love to give up but until the Wife is ready, it is too hard.

Tried e-cigs, and currently trying Herbal Cigarettes.

Also I find I need to do something with my hands and of-course this always leads to masturbation.

I quit and the rig blew up in new orleans
I lit up again and they finally patched it

The way I see it is if I quit again we will all die from a Meteor strike. There was no intention of the correlation between events. It just happened that way. I will quit again when ready

I highly recommend the nicotin inhaler. I dont know if they still sell them since e-cigs came out but the inhaler is the only thing that gives you the satisfying kick in the back of the throat that smokers love.

I tried e-cigarettes(after I quit, just to try them) I could suck them till I am blue in the face but theres no nicotine hit.

    My route to quitting was:

Moved into snazzy new house: decided not to smoke in it.

After a few months: Started to not smoke in the car

After that I was restricted to smoking 5-6 a day in work. Gradually I just went off cigarettes. Every time I tried the quit with immediate effect I only lasted 4-5 days but cutting down gradually you have good and bad days but you slowly get into the habit of smoking less till the point where you dont feel like smoking at all.

I agree with you. It has been very difficult to quit smoking especially when one is addicted. I think electronic cigarettes and legal smoking blends are best alternatives. They are harmless and helps in quitting smoking.

you die anyways, diseases always find one way or the other to attack you. So why quit smoking
