What happens to adsense when a video is claimed and you've already made a lot of money out of it?

Let's say you published a video with a copyrighted song and you've already made $200k out of that video and the money is already in your bank account. Will the copyright holder ask you to pay the money back?

    Here's an example:
    Alan Walker - Spectre

NoCopyrightSounds published Alan Walker - Spectre back in 2015 when Alan Walker was not famous.
The song has eventually broken the 100 Million views barrier on YT.
He then signed with Sony Music and re-released the song in 2017.
    The song is now copyrighted.
Will NoCopyrightSounds have to pay back Sony Music all the money they've already made with that song in the time interval of 2 years?

Well I think it's not retro-active, but you'll stop making money.

Youtube don't pay you right away for the views of video. it takes 3 days to confirm the views and their activity after that you get paid. 3 days views will not count . You will get the exact amount in your adsense that is showing in your YouTube dashboard. (The earning of last 28 days)..

and you don't worry about local encounter. That will not happen

You make all of the money up until the point of copyright claim.

It's only moving forward not backwards...

Yeah, that means it s not retroactive.

"retroactive - taking effect from a date in the past."

    Correct...except you said you think....
But I know for a fact...

So yeah retroactive backwards whatever when someone claims a monetized video you still male all the funds up until that point. If you challenge it via counterclaim yt holds the funds in escrow while they determine outcome if no challenge it is copy right holders funds from there on out...

Had the same situation as you. You don’t need to pay it back you just won’t get any more money from the video :)

I have never see wanting money back, copyright holder can delete video on youtube. If you dispute the copyright holder. You get trouble.

There are many channels dedicated to repost songs from soundcloud and most of them are monetized.
