I've never been behind with adwords, I did once lose my bank account, and with it the card attached. In that case they simply quit running my ads, in your case if you actually owe the $750 I'm sure they would have the option of sending it to collections, but don't know their policy on that. Maybe some other BHer will know.

    Luck with it.

I dont think they have collections to be honest with you, it's not like the traffic costs them anything anyway, the probably dont want to spend the money on resources to send out collection letters considering most accounts are through peoples businesses which means they arent personally liable to pay. I actually ran up about 3 grand on one account and canceled the card it was on not because of them but because of another company that kept charging me without permission.

I've never even gotten an email from them about it, adbrite was the same way, I ended up cancelling a card that was linked to about an $800 bill and that account still sits there.

This was like 3 years ago at least, I just abandoned the accounts and did new ones, I guess I should have tried repeating the process a few times to see how much money I could have gotten away with :)

I did this a few months ago and got this email...

We recently contacted you regarding a past due balance for your AdWords account 000000. The outstanding balance is the amount of USD 410.96 for this invoice with an overall outstanding balance of USD 631.89 on the account.

If payment in full is not received within fifteen days, we will forward your account to our external collections agency.

To reactivate your account, please enter your payment details. We ask that you re-enter your payment details even if they have not changed; entering this information causes our system to attempt to charge you again using the payment details you provided.

To enter your payment details, please log in to your account at hxxps://adwords*google*com/select/. Select the 'My Account' tab, and then click on the 'Billing Preferences' link.

If you prefer to settle the full outstanding balance on your account with a single payment, you may also make a one-time payment by cheque or Electronic Funds Transfer. On such payments, you'll need to include your AdWords order number, 00000000, as remittance advice. If you do not reference your order number, your payment may not be properly credited to your AdWords account.

Wow I guess they've adopted a collections department recently, interesting. Is it through your personal name tymillz or a business?

If it's a business you could just register LLC's left and right to do this and hit adwords for a couple thousand each time not to mention other PPC networks, they cant come after you personally for the money and if they do have collection agencies your personal credit would not be affected, that is if those credit agencies are able to post to your credit report which many are not.

i did the same thing a long time ago 3 years ago and they cancelled every account i signed up since then.

they didnt send me to collections because i finally paid it off.

they only just re let me use adwords again

so theres a risk but its up to you!!

do the right thing and pay it if you want to use adwords longterm!

It was through my personal name. But I did not submit my SSN to them, so to me the letter holds no weight. And I signed up another account a few weeks ago with a different email.

When I do business online I try not to use my bank account unless I really I have to. I use prepaid debit cards from check cashing places. This way when businesses have recurring charges on me, they get what I give them when I feel like giving it to them. No unexpected overdrafts or anything.

I am not sure if you can do this or not. I dont know if its the same for everyone but they kinda built my account on a trust basis. I think they started by billing me every $50 then they built it up little by little until I think they were billing me every 5 or 600.

Well without your social they can send you all the notices in the world and it means nothing. Seems to me you can easily bang PPC networks for thousands a week with $50 LLCs and unique bank card numbers.

lol.thats awesome. I gave them my social for AdSense some years back. Do you think they would look at that? They banned that account too because I had $7000 that was about 80% legit and they decided to not pay me anything. hmm.

I get collection notices for other stuff all the time, as long as they dont post to credit reports i dont care.

Also yes they build you up a credit line. They started billing in $50, $100 and eventually $1000 increments.

Just an fyi... I've noticed a lot of companies don't need your ss# to put something on your credit. If they have your real name & address, that seems to be enough. It really sucks.

don't get fucked up!!! Pay them their money... That money is quite huge...

If that money was something like $100, I would have asked you to forget and ignore them because they ain't tend to catch you for $100 with putting $200 of effort...

Don't know about you guys n girls but I would prefer to pay the full amount and be happy and 100% sure they will never get back to you. ;) This thread is kind of turning into a "go and do fraud on PPC networks" topic. lol

So far the best advice in this post is to just pay the bill. I have had stuff come back and bite me years later! It is not worth it.

I was in the same situations but the amount was smaller. I, then, made another account with another card and it is working fine. Forget about that account. :)
