There are many different possibilities depending on what kind of copyright match you get.

For an audio match (music), the monetization will get disabled but no strike on our account. Sometimes you even can still monetize (and share revenue) if you claim it is a cover version.

Not sure about video matched though, haven't had any yet.

You must meet these minimum requirements in order to monetize your videos:

    • Your content is advertiser-friendly.
    • You created the content or have permission to use it commercially.
    • You are able to provide documentation proving you own commercial rights to all audio and video content.
    • Your content complies with YouTube's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

I wouldnt force my luck too much on copyright..

I cannot post links here yet, just go to youtube copyright help pages > FAQ and read the part related to "consequences":

"On YouTube, the consequences of copyright infringement are simple. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and other applicable copyright laws. Under these laws, we remove videos when properly notified that they violate copyright.
If we receive a valid infringement notification identifying videos in your account, they will be removed and you will receive a strike. If you receive three strikes, your YouTube account will be terminated. At time of termination, all your other videos will be removed and you will be permanently blocked from creating new accounts or accessing YouTube's community features in the future.

In addition, copyright owners may choose to sue for infringement. In the U.S., copyright infringement may result in statutory damages of up to $150,000 per work and, in some cases, criminal penalties."

Just not the best idea to make money, you can go ahead and try but dont plan on making a living off of this type of thing, that my friend certainly wouldn't be a good idea.

Well depends on when they will find you ! Well they may shut down your video if you do not have the rights to upload their videos. In most cases, my audio has been disabled on youtube

YouTube has a large database/source of copyrighted content, and if its servers detect major similarities between your video and theirs - your video will be removed. If you do this multiple times, you will be banned.
