What happens if I do a domain change, and move from a “.in”, which is a indian top level domain, to “.com”? Any lost of Traffic ? and i also want to know the things that must be done carfully at a time of Domain shifting.

Most probably you will lost your positions in Google. I was told to make a redirect and announce new domain name in Google Console and Webmaster, but it did not help.

To avoid experiencing a ranking loss during a domain change, you need to implement a 301 redirect. However, things can sometimes go wrong with this process. If your site is performing well in Google rankings, I would advise reconsidering the decision.

If domain is important to India, then I'd just keep it and build more content with .in domain.

Why would you want to move to a .com domain?

is there only 301 redirection or something else too ?

301 redirection is enough. But do it correctly. Use a plugin like 'redirection' that will do the job for you.

At first the traffic and ranking will drop when you migrate your site from .in to .com. It will take few months to re-stabilize the rankings. You have to keep patience till then.

BTW how many pages are there in the site in question?

changing your domain name can also affect your SEO rankings, traffic, and links. You will need to implement proper redirects, update your sitemaps, and inform Google about your change of address using the Change of Address tool in Search Console.

35.7K Indexed Pages

Oh, that's a big number. But do not worry. Apply 301 correctly, and expect fluctuation for few months. Everything will be fine after that.
