Reading or watching videos of/about successful entrepreneurs, especially those who came from poor families
I'm the same. I just get in the zone, no food no drink no music just work :-/
I have to set a timer to remind me to take breaks.
This motivates me.
Can't see me for the win lo . I tried getting my hands on nootropics but as usual got cock blocked by country and demand/supply *lesigh*
My go to is still coffee for now, or caffeine pills and L-theanine, use as needed though as caffeine can get tolerated quite easily( honestly)
Work until you feel tired/bored then take a break. Go outside or listen to some music. These breaks are critical to help you refocus.
Work hard when you're supposed to be working, and don't work at all when you're not supposed to be. Take weekends off and stay the hell away from your computer. The breaks from work are just as important as the work. You will burn out if you work all the time (well most people will, some people are machines).
When I am working I listen to ambient sounds or ASMR stuff.
Go on a strict Paleo diet and stop watching pornography and masturbating.
That will help you a lot with concentration, stress, motivation, focus, energy, etc. whether you believe me or not.
Haha, you are welcome. I don't understand how people can listen to songs and focus. It doesn't work for me. At most, I can listen to instrumentals (from games or movies) or classical. Otherwise just white noise / ambient sounds.
these responses are funny as only few are on point. First off, music is useless, it just depends on your mood--so would you be motivated without the mood? Sounds like your problem is finding energy.
For when you feel dizzy, just sit down on the floor and take oxygen. This will mitigate and stop dizziness really fast. Never get dizzy standing up, or you'll get more dizzy.
Cold showers help keep you focused, awake, and have energy throughout the day (optional). When the cold "freezes" your exterior, heat centers to the internal organs, this allows them to be more productive. It gives great heart health as the arteries begin to pump blood more efficiently. You begin to naturally breathe in longer air which gives perfect sleep, and oxygen for the brain to think. Sounds crazy, but you get used to it in 10 seconds.
Forget energy drinks. Water is the best energy drink because it gives you more longer lasting energy throughout the day, and next day. So the more consumed, the more your body functions as it needs H2O to flow the nutrition.
Get rid of all sugar consumption drinks i.e. Go for diet, or replace with sweeteners. Coffee is okay, but never treat it like beer, you can sip it just to get a boost. No need for Venti Starbucks, 1 cup will do. Coffee is also a remedy for headaches. Too much of these is why you crash, or get dizzy.
It's okay to take breaks as the mind is not made to think 24 hours. Taking breaks allows your mind to take a break in order to ramp up thinking more efficiently. You can't force yourself to work when mind and body is fatigue, so it's better to concentrate efficiently without fatigue. That's why like some said: "sleep is important". Normal sleep will let you be more productive throughout the day; otherwise, you'll feel sleepy without full sleep during the day, because the body wants to compensate for the lack of sleep.
Periods of meditation will help. The longer the period in meditation, the longer the concentration. And all sorts of other benefits.
@Linalin said he would try nootropics which is not a bad idea, but it's banned in his country. However, they do work although certain kinds can produce side-effects. Nootropics are smart pills designed to keep you concentrating the whole day. I despise many nootropic brands because of their reviews on side-effects, unnecessary caffeine and energy. For these, you'd have to do research. I go natural and take a 1:1 ratio of Aniracetam and Choline Bitrate; which is 2 pills each for me. Others results may vary. I'm able to think consistently fresh throughout the whole day, focused. Tolerance, I only take them when I need them, and realized it still works the next day without taking them again.These however will not work if your task is playing videogames. If your task is web designing, or engineering, then the results are more effective.
The best natural motivation is interest.
And this example is why I don't take energy drinks.

I believe I am the worst person I have ever met when it comes to Focus. It would take me 1 month to write 10 articles. I really know how to distract myself and waste my working hours.I believe this is because I don't really care about money when it comes to spending it to myself.
