What features would you like to see in a social networking site?

If you could make the ultimate social media platform what would it consist of, what features do you really like, or really dislike?

Combination of SE4 and phpFox would be good. But facebook already done it, so...

Doesn't matter what's been done. I need to know the features that social media sites use that people like. Coding features, Ease of use and why, and ect. Just curious on why people use these sites. What makes them popular.

Some use it to keep in touch with people they haven't seen in years, see what their friends are up to and just be up to date on what's happening in their closest friend's lives. Some are able to find family members they didn't know they had. Some ppl like to keep in touch or meet friends in different countries.

Some like it because it gives you a chance to talk more with your acquaintances, the people you wouldn't normally talk to on the phone all the time. Also, it's nice to see what's going on in the lives of people you grew up with.
