I'm working on a link cloaking project and want to know what everyone is interested in. I will be providing free accounts to BHW members. Here's what I have so far:

    General
    • Works with any domain / subdomain / path
    • Full tracking
    • Unlimited rules for each link
    • SSL support
    • Double meta refresh support

    Link Rules
    • Define complex rule sets usable for any of your links
    • Take specific actions based on referrer, browser, IP, host name, etc
    • Examples: If referrer is something and IP is not something then go to url1, if referrer is blank and browser is IE and host name does not contain ebay go to url2
    • Share rules with other users (eg Ebay IP lists, search engine bot user agents)

    Tracking
    • Full link tracking analytics including IPs, user agent, access time, referrer, resolution, etc
    • Charts and statistical breakdown similar to Google Analytics

Maybe I'm just lazy, but I would like it to email me the click stats at the end of the day.

It's a mild pain in the ass to have to go and log-in to check the stats everyday.

Everything you listed would be great. Hopefully you can get it up and running ASAP. Very much needed right now.

Also as oscarslater asked, will this reside on our server? I don't want to run into the same problems we did with offer*cloak. Sheesh!

There will be 2 versions, one hosted and one self-hosted. The hosted site will have a few account levels (including free). The self-hosted solution will not be cheap but will include the full source if NDA and non-compete agreements are signed.

I understand the worries about a hosted solution, especially with offercloak going down. There are some real advantages to it though. Users will be able to share rule sets if they want, like IP and host lists. This will save a lot of time and effort searching out this data and entering it. It also means much better support and faster updates.

My day job involves maintaining a server cluster for some pretty major clients. I'm well aware of what it takes to keep a site up. The hosted solution will start on a VPS I own that has been in production for over a year, and has only been down briefly for hardware upgrades. Current mySQL uptime is over 45 days. If necessary I'm ready to move to a dedicated server on short notice. I doubt that will ever be necessary since the hardware I'm on is massive. Check out the stats:

    Dual quad core Xeon 2.5GHz
    24GB RAM
    load average: 0.08, 0.05, 0.01

Good idea, I'll add that feature.

How do you mean, with frames? So the top URL stays your link?

Site is coming along. I built a CMS from scratch on a few framework scripts I already had, not bad for less than a day's work. I should have the link cloaking basics finished today. Hopefully all functionality will be completed tomorrow and ready for testing. Site design should be done by the end of the week.

Already planning it ;) This will probably be a future feature available for an additional fee for those "in the know" and not published on the site to keep it on the DL.

Templates for forwarding pages is something I've already thought about. It won't be available right away but if demand is high enough I'll implement it.

When you say 'Unlimited rules for each link'

You mean the rule string is unlimited as many variables as you want?

or do you mean as many links as you like with rules?

Looking forward to seeing this btw.
So I am am in at least for a test run.

I really really really want a beta version ready for testing in the next few days but we'll see how it goes. I'm putting all of my time into this.

Unlimited rules for each link. Your account level will determine how many links you are allowed to have. Here's an example of what a link may look like and its rules:

    hxxp://www.somedomain/ebay/ebay-registration.html

if ip address is known ebay ip address forward to ebay.com
if host name contains ebay.com show error message
if ip address is known bot show nothing
if user agent is known bot show nothing
if referer isn't blank SSL meta refresh (up to twice if necessary)
if referer is blank send to EPN link
