I was using excel+digdb macros but its quite uncomfortable and I am not sure if I can do everything using this combo, like filtering search phrases by keywords into groups. I have found adgrenade, speed ppc, efficient ppc and this easy utility http://www.ppckeywordtoolz.com/. Is there anything I could get here from forum or paid app you would recommend?

Hmm. I'm using not such huge keyword lists I think....

Just use "phrase match" as targeting and use the {keyword} placeholder in my keyword destination url so I don't need to enter every phrase I could think of - just getting all the traffic with my keywords/phrase and kick the bad phrases out later. ;) I'm using the AdWords Editor for campaign setup.

    Hi -

I manage several large adwords accounts that handle in the neighborhood of 1200 keywords per campaign, currently at 84 campaigns being managed in each account.

My main tool is adwords editor supplemented by excel spreadsheets - I do most of the mass changes to both keywords and ads in the spreadsheet, and load them as multiple changes in the editor.

Our setup is very unique and we update campaigns regionally on a weekly basis. I have tried some other tools, including Omniture, and right now, the combination of the adwords editor and the excel spreadsheets is the quickest and most efficient way of insuring the accuracy of what I am doing.

This has translated into a $70k per month adspend over time, as we have increased the size of the accounts, $740k total spend this past 12 months, and generated revenues just under $3 mil.
