A long time ago, there was a tool called Web Position Gold.

It would check your rankings, links, etc. But it was best for analyzing your page and telling you if it was over-optimized, or needed something added to your title tag, etc in order to have the best chance of moving up in the SERPs and avoid being penalized.

What are you guys using? Web Position Gold obviously doesnt work anymore and I've just been guessing if my on-site SEO was good or not for the past few years. Most of the time it's not bad, but I like to make sure it is optimum when building websites for clients.

It's best to do it manually.
For SERP checking use some of many tools available, but for OnPage SEO analyze source code manually.

I don't use any tools for that. I can do that myself better than any tools, after all...it must look natural
