I have a client who is usually fine with me explaining about the SEO and what I have done and the progress we have made. Well he is sitting at #10 for his keywords and I am trying to tell him that we need to keep going until he gets into the top 3. Well he tells me he wants to see a report and what I can do to get him there.

Right now I am using the SEO PowerSuite to show him what the ranking on his site is and I am even doing a comparison on his site and the top three.

What do you all do to supply your clients with this info? Could I do anything else to convince him that he shouldnt settle for just being #10 when he can be at the top? He is satisfied witht he progress because he is on the #1 page but dont understand that the top 3 get the most traffic.

Basically I need to say.. "Here is where we stand, and here is what we need to improve as you can see", instead of just telling him.

I usually create my own branded report with inDesign. My clients seem to like having a visual aid.

I create reports myself without using any third party tool. However, i do take help from SEOMOZ, powersuit and others to get the right info but compile exclusive info that is interesting to my clients.

im interested in a program like this.. i im tired to do it manually so a program to create my reports will be awsome

It shouldn't be a hard sell, just google around there are dozens of white papers on the amount of traffic difference you will get from being in the top 10. Being #10 is like getting 1% of the available traffic lol.
