As most of you know, Youtube's comment system has changed to letting users post long-ass comments and also links. Furthermore, the use of links are allowed as well, which often lead to 18+ sites or viruses. Many people, channel owners and viewers alike, are complaining about this new system. The system also hurts us IMers who utilized Youtube's original comment upvote system. Many channels have started "strikes", in which they refuse to allow comments until Youtube decides to change the comment system back to how it was prior to the update. So, what do you talented IMers think? Will Youtube revert back to how it was? Or will Youtube ignore these pleas and remain stoic in their belief of the new comment system? I think I sound smart :D. No, but this is a serious thread guys.

Well, if YouTube sees a drop in visits and interaction and sees an increase in complaints and upset users than yes, they'll more than likely revert to the old comment system.

Considering Google owns Youtube, they will find a way to limit things and control them. One link per comment, per month/week. You get banned for posting 100 links in a week while posting comments. I mean they can literally eliminate the possibility of spam ina variety of ways. Though, creating 100 accounts to do so would fix that. Haha.

I've heard from a friend of an "insider" that its days are numbered. That's fucked of course. My pal,
heard this from a big shot 5 years ago. Guy also predicted the future impact of cloud computing.
5 years ago Cloud computing was something I first heard from HaRRo. Now its a household
word even though most don't understand it.

Hope Dude was wrong about Youtube, and if he wasn't there are a million other video platforms to
take its place. Its an idea who's time has come.

How can its days be numbered though? It's at the peak of its success, STILL. What is it's REAL competition? TV? Hardly. Netflix? Not even close. I don't see their user base falling off. At least not enough to effect them in any major way.

I doubt a thing will change as far as reverting back.

What pisses me off most now is its almost impossible to find decent viral content that I feel like watching.
The "home page" or what ever the fuck it is only shows me my subbed channel content, stuff I already seen.

Google is about the dumbest assholes, the default homepage that everyone see's should have tabs such as "recently uploaded, viral content, and tabs for each category,...music,comedy,news,etc"
But No, all you see is the channels google shoves at you.
Google is so damn greedy they are actually limiting their true potential because they are forcing and limiting what is shown to us by default.

Imagine BH running that way, and we click the new posts tab and are only shown usernames that posted recently, and not the actual threads and we have to click through the user to see what he is posting about only to find out, we are not interested in his thread or already seen it 3 weeks ago.

Then click one of the sections tab, such as "hosting, lounge etc" and again, the only thing that comes up are users that pay BH to be shown.

Fuck you google, you are destroying one of the best things about the internet.
Even Netflix is smart enough to give ways for the public to browse interests.

I am curious how anyone can go viral on YT now, unless they fork over huge amounts of cash to google to be put in the elite class that they show us.

sorry for the drama, it just needs to be said.

95% of the users don't even notice the integration of Google+. They just see it as Youtube "redesigning" or "improving the design". Only the channel owners or people who spend a lot of time commenting, marketing and other things online who are ticked off about it. I see Google shrugging this mob of protesters. Like what Veyron said, they will just implement filters for spam and other things.

Honestly I hope nothing happens to YouTube since they pay for my food, rent, bills, etc.. btw I'm making 1/4 of the money I was making one month ago which is really sad obviously.

Judging by the total absence of spam in the most viewed videos, it seems YT won their battle against comment spamming. So, the only hope we have to see a revert to the old system is if the new comment limitations will somehow turn off enough legit users to make the Big G lose a considerable percentage of their profits (and I see that really HARD to happen).

I think YT has success with their new comment system, force people to use G+ and decrease the spammer.

the suffer side is on us, including me

Its going to be practically impossible to expect YouTube to revert back to their original system. People will eventually get used to it and probably find new methods to rank in the new system.
