What do you think of this niche? Walking tours.

I have never done content creation but I love watching walking tours of places I'd like to go to. Not only are the physical locations nice to see but a lot of the interest is in the people watching. Since I live in a big city I thought it would be fun to make walking tour vids myself especially since no one in my city is currently doing it. What do you think of this niche in terms of profitability? The main walking tour channel I watch is called ActionKid for an example.

Hmm.. I really don't see it as a bad idea, but getting viewers is where the problem lies.. but that would have only been easier if you were living in a popular city like Paris, California, Rome e.t.c where majority wants to go someday.
 
It's a great idea. But consider just framing it as something other than a "walking tour".

Also is important that you do not capture other people's faces, as you will need them to sign a release in order to use their image/likeness in your videos.

This is a good point. My city is in the top 20 largest in the US, but is not NYC, LA, or Chicago. Still I think people would search for it because I did in the past and was disappointed in not finding any content.

Try walking and zoom when you see nice babe then tag them to get insta exposure
 
If you love to do this: go for it!
You'll find likeminded people along the way.
 
Good idea. You can scale it so other people do the tours for you.
 
I'm assuming here that you're talking about in person walking tours of a tourist spot? I've gone on a few walking tours while on vacation. Definitely a good niche. Your biggest competitor would probably be tripadvisor, which is where I go to find those tours when I travel. If you can work a referral program to the tour providers, that may be a way to monetize it.
 
I love to search towns and cities on youtube using the keywords city/town name + tour
 
Yes its a good niche have seen "on street of cities" videos
