    Easy question =P

What do you think about the Web 3.0?

I've been reading about Web 3.0 a lot of times in some blogs and websites...and in the last few days, Web 3.0 is being featured in some TV channels here in Brazil...

Should we, blackhatters, start update our methods to fit in the Web 3.0? Or we should just wait and stay earning money in the Web 2.0? =P

I think it's a little too early to start planning for web 3.0. we should focus on the present, web 2.0!

Web 2.0 is a codename for basically a revolution in how the internet interacts with itself. It's not actually anything more than a trend. We can't prepare for web 3.0, because we don't know what it is yet.

Still confused? Think of it this way. Web 2.0 takes the internet and separates form from content. For example, this is the old internet:

    Code:
    <font face=arial" color="red" size="3">Your text goes here.</font>
Notice how the attributes to that string of text resides on the code, and therefore, that string of text will ALWAYS be arial, red, and size 3.

Here is a string of web 2.0 text, or XHTML:

    Code:
    <description>Your text goes here.</description>
The only thing that describes how this text will show up is the description tag. That means this text can be exported (like in an RSS feed), saved, published, and changed without every changing the code around the text. Instead, the code asks the website that it's published on how a description is supposed to look, and uses that style. Easy!

And now that form is separated from content, we can have sites like...

Blogger, wordpress, youtube, tweeter, wetpaint, flickr, digg, and more.

    Make more since?

Its usually easier to blackhat at the start of something than midway or at the apex of its success. I say take advantage whenever you can and never wait too long...

Web 2.0 is a misnomer that was coined by O'Reilly publishing and then took on a mind of it's own. In my opinion its just the Internet; all of it. There's no such thing really as Web 2.0, it's just web you know?

It is what it is, naming it doesn't make it mean anymore or any less. Most things that came to be badged web 2.0 already existed anyway, it's just silly naming it imao. I'm smiling now at the thought of a room full of people coming up with "web 3.0" and putting it through Alpha or Beta...

It's merely the coming of new standards, at a normal rate, where at some point in the future someone, not of Burners-Lee's stature or knowledge, says, "there you go, here's web 3.0!" when in fact fuck all has changed from the previous day, as it was with "web 2.0".

It's less different than the move from html 4.0 to 4.01 except they really were "things" that were rightly given standards, not names given to something for the sake of giving something a name. Just my opinion!
