What do you think about the new Clickbank trust badge/header?

So, Clickbank has scrapped the plans for the permanent toolbar header thing they were going to do and are now making all vendors either put a floating badge in the corner of their page that says "Clickbank Trusted Secure" or a thin header at the top that says the same thing.

What do you guys think about it? Do you think it will improve conversions or harm them?

Any vendors here had any experiences after installing the badge or the header?

Here are a few of my thoughts and concerns...

1.) Having ClickBank's Customer Support link at the top of the page could make refunds much easier, possibly too easy when ClickBank is handling the tickets. Apparently customers will have a choice to contact the vendor or ClickBank. This could be good for customers and what's good for customers is usually good for the vendor in the long run.

2.) The look of my website. Now I will have a logo on top of a logo, that will look really odd. This could be confusing to visitors and more challenging for branding your own site and sales page.

3.) As time goes on I question if people will immediately see and recognize a ClickBank site and immediately feel like it's trying to sell them something.

4.) ClickBank is testing this branded bar, but I wonder if they'll test it over the long-term and how it will perform 6 months, 1 year, 2 years from now.

5.) Although this is speculation, in the future ClickBank could in theory easily add anything they want to this branded bar. A link to other products, a drop-down menu to their marketplace, whatever they want.

I suppose the one biggest advantage is ClickBank remains in business. According to them "credit card companies and payment processors are scrutinizing Internet retailers and the quality of products on their platforms". There may be no way around this for ClickBank and this could just be the future of things to come. With change can come opportunity, so I'm looking forward to see how this all plays out.

Will this thing become mandatory for vendors / affiliates?

I'm pretty happy with the changes. I think it helps lift up some previously-scammy looking pages and even makes them look credible. Some tests have actually shown an increase in conversions.

You also have to consider that this will help to MINIMIZE refunds by preparing the customer for ClickBank, which lots of affiliates do very poorly right now.

That would be the final shot to clickbank. If I own a blog where I sell staff from different platforms, then CB would be hijacking my blog. Clickbank seriously has been going down hill from the past year.

It will become mandatory ONLY for vendors, not affiliates.

There are no leaks in the new badge.

It's clear you don't know jack about performance marketing, like 99.99% of the posters in this forum otherwise you would not be complaining.

Here's my thoughts on the whole thing:

It hasn't make a damn bit of difference to anything. Not sales, not trust, not EPC, not time on site, not by causing leaks in the sales funnel, nothing.

So in essence - it's fine.

The other banner had massive problems, this one isn't noticeable at all and does not affect anything.

The problem is, it also won't effect anything with regards high refund rates on shitty products, which was the whole reason they had to put a "banner" of some sort up in the first place.
