    hi
a lot of people on this forum act like commenting on high PR, low OBL blogs is a piece of cake, but I havent had the same experience.

for most PR2+ blogs, even if I write a long, meaningful comment that is relevant to the blog, as soon as they see that I am choosing an anchor text for my name, they realize its spam.
I dont know what to do here. should i stick with real names? if a lot of my links have a name like "andrew" as my anchor text, will that hurt my seo?

You have to comment on PAGES with PR more than 2. You will find millions of PR2 and above blogs and hundreds of millions of pages with PR2 and above.

Most of the PR2, PR3 and PR4 blogs might not have high PR pages in them so you have to select the right pages and drop a comment on those alone to gain the backlinks. Most of us here, use Scrapebox to find the High PR pages.

If the PR of the page is more than 5 and is a ******** blog, I would drop a manual comment on the page - first with the anchor I want .. if that comment is not approved in 3 days .. then drop a second comment with a NAME as an anchor text. The Value of PR5 i.e. PR juice far outweighs the greed to get the right anchor. I am not saying that backlinks with the right anchor aren't the best.. because they are the best kind you can get.. but sometimes you have to change your strategy and go for the PR.

If you use ScrapeBox, you will find everything to be much simpler and easier. And it is totally worth the $57. Hope this helps.

Like was mentioned above SB is great for finding these blogs. I honestly am not seeing the return on high PR blogs anymore. I know it's just anecdotal evidence but it just does not have the power it used to.

    I have scrapebox, but:
any blogs that are autoapprove are worthless (because its been spammed to death)
any blogs that the moderator is stupid enough to approve spam is worthless (because its been spammed to death)
any blogs that the moderator is smart enough to reject spam is worthless (because you cant spam it)

so what is the point of finding these blogs? I guess the only good reason to use scrapebox is to get something indexed. but maybe i am too stupid to use it correctly, i dont know.

Finding the best high PR pages to get backlinks is hard.. no doubt about that.. if it were that easy then everyone would have already spammed it to high hell. There are still millions of non-spammed blogs out there.

Try scraping non-english blogs.. those are still pretty much untouched and are gold mines of PR. If you have a list of already spammed to death blogs and auto approve blogs then use them to get backlinks to your buffer sites and NOT the money site. That is the way you use the auto approve lists.

They get turned into splogs, just spam.

They in my opinion arent the best way to do seo. You can find some that are high pr and are not spammed but eventually the comments will get wiped.

What is the area you are targetting? buying a few relevant links will be more worthwhile than spamming blogs btw.

Hmm.. I find so many HIGH PR blog pages with PR 4-6, that I don't come around commenting on them all. I even skip all the high PR pages with more then 50 OBL.

Scrapebox is the best for this. All the info is shared here.

I repeat myself, this is the method I use most of the time:
    - On PR 5-6 spammed pages put ALL the spammed website into .txt
    - Trim to root and put them in the Backlinks checker in Scrapebox
    - Export all the backlinks ( A LOT ) into .txt
    - Check for PR ( Depending at how many domains you have can take from 30 min to whatever )
    - Put PR 4-6 in one list and PR n/a to 3 in another
    - MANUALLY comment on these HIGH ones
    - Scrapebox fast comment on all the others

It's not that hard, isn't it?

..and I often, very often find auto approve sites. You just have to create an account most of the time. Otherwise, just put the website in the website-field, not in the comment.

Now you can also expand this idea. For example I usually also put GOOD ranking website that I find in Google in a seperate .txt file, when I think that the owner got his serps ranking with spamming. When I got enough, I rape them with SB.

At the very least you could outsource this for pretty cheap. Either way I'd recommend what others have mentioned in this thread. There are tools, like Scrapebox that allow this job to be done easier by helping you identify pages that already exist.

My advice, find other spammers that have done the same and reverse engineer their backlinks.
