The question is as simple as it seems. What I love about Romania is that you can do pretty much everything if you think outside the box on all categories. If it comes to internet, well, my 100mb dl speed makes my life and IM way more easier. Not to talk about taxes coming from IM, haha. What, who?

What I hate about it, is that it's full of stupidity, and as if that wouldn't be enough, the media (TV, newspapers) brings a significant contribution to this cause, keeping the IQ low enough. Not to talk about the old generation that grew up in the communist ages (before '89).

But hey, you know what they say, 'a one-eyed guy in a blind world, is a king'. Or something like that.

So, what do you love and hate most about your country? (don't enter too much in details, just basic stuff.. or whatever)

@daimon Yeah..corruption. I always admire the Nordic countries (Sweden, Norway~) for the reduced corruption. But hey, corruption can be good if you know how to handle it.

Cultures are always changing, people should be able to wear what they like, eat what they like, listen to what they like. Forcing a person to be part of a certain culture just because he or she was born in a certain country is just wrong.

I never said that if you live in a country you must be part of it with 'body and soul'. FOr example if you earn enough from IM, you can visit a lot the entire world. If you are 23 years old like me, you can go visit Thailand's sin cities, USA (only some parts..LV,Miami, NY etc), India, Japan, Brazil etc... Amsterdam (Holland). Go as often as you want. Either go to have the fun of your life, or just be a simple tourist who wants to admire cultural stuff and landscapes and whatsoever. Live your life and make it the way you want it to be. It's useless to blame the government and politicians for their mistakes or procrastination and so on.

Why did Nelson Mandela get into power, when he was in prison for so long and couldn't have any leadership or management roles while in prison.

I was refering to the fact that cultures in every country change over time. Like a person that was around our age in the 1950's is going to say how "insert name of country" has gone down hill so much. And their parents that were that age in the 1920's would have said the same thing.

But because of the internet age, each of us can basically create our own little miniculture if we wanted to.

International media chose his side... (Especially since Britian started the segregation and the BBC loved to blame the dutch or Afrikaans people for Apartheid instead of taking the blame...)
Also, even though he killed innocent people, he was seen as a hero amounst the uneducated. He was seen as a hero for fighting the oppression which was fair but he went about it the wrong way...

When he got released, the current president made a big media deal out of it to show his "good dead" of letting this prisonar go free...but all the publicity kind of backfired and Nelson Mandela became the hero that fought for the rights of the majority.
But lets not discussed politics here :) I dont think its allowed anyway

Fries with Mayonaise is so much better then just ketchup. IDK why its not popular in the U.S. If you want a kick ass sauce for fries. Mix ketchup with mustard and mayonaise.
