Do you just take them from the internet? Do you have a team that designs them? Or do you get them from a paid website? If so, which one is the best for a good price?

I usually use PhotoDune. Huge selection, and most of the time the $1 size is all you need. I know there certain licenses on Flickr where you can get it for free, but I'd rather pay the $1 and actually know I have the rights to use it.

Holy shit I'm so glad you just showed me this site. I looked at a few sites like ShutterStock (who charges like almost $15 per pic) and here's another site that does $1-$2 dollars. I appreciate it.

i agree photodune is probably the cheapest place to get high quality photos. I also use wikicommons for some stuff (some photos are pub dom), morguefile, kozzi has a pretty big selection of free photos if you sign up for free also they I think they give you some free credits to start off with if you want to get some premiums.

Depends if it's a throw away site or a keeper.

If it's a throw away and I've used Fake details I use Google Images Fuck copyright :gives:

If it's a keeper I'd use Photo Dune, SXC or on the rare occasion iStock but they are expensive.

On a side note when I was typing 'if it's a keeper' it reminded me of Austin Powers Goldmember - LOL

This is my policy for my phony web 2.0 backlink sites.

For my money sites I definitely get something from iStock, or public domain.

Also, sometimes it's easy to create your own images if you have a little creativity and an acceptable quality camera (hell, I took a few pictures with my Motorola Atrix II and it was fine!) For example, I wrote a blog post about a certain scam taking place within the niche. I just had some cash laying around so I spread it out on the floor until you couldn't see the carpet anymore, and I took a picture. Then I airbrushed a big white blob in the middle and added the word "scam?" in some grainy text. Looked professional.

If your niche was "making money online", you could just take a photo of your hand resting on the keyboard (but clean off your filthy desk first) then take a photo of your hand holding some cash against a white background. Then just put these two side-by-side with a gradient; maybe an arrow pointing from one to the other.

Or if your niche was weight loss, you could just have someone taking a picture of you holding a tape measure around your midsection.

These aren't hard to think of. Unless you have some weird niche like underwater basket weaving, chances are you are more than capable of producing your own images.

I use Flickr, freedigitalphotos dot net, sxc dot hu, and kozzi dot com

There is also the Photo Dropper plugin that pulls images from Flickr directly into your posts, where you can search by keywords, but it links to the original images sources.

Another good plugin is Insights, it searches copyright free Images and also Vids based on keywords you enter directly from within Wordpress post editor and then you can just add them into your posts, and it does NOT link to the original source.
