Signata is one of the only ones that I can think of off the top of my head.

As things expand, security is needed. The cyber security field for crypto in the upcoming years is without a doubt going to be massive, especially if the plays happen with the metaverse that people are expecting (things that already exist with people earning 50-200$ a day off Decentraland PER NFT they're holding) giving the metaverse a primary usage (earn money) which as we all know, is one of the strongest forces on the internet. With this much money being throw around from these projects, there's without a doubt a need for some type of mainstreamer ledger to exist. Your everyday user isn't going to feel comfortable keeping 24 words safe, as well as in some cases having to carry around a USB.

Not to mention the issues with everything becoming so regulated by the government.. being anonymous is a huge plus.

Am I delusional to think that this could be a 1-2 year 2000% gainer?

Edit: I've attached a video which explains everything about SATA (It's long)

How does it actually make things more secure?

A lot of the incidents that happen is due to human error or to social engineering.

Exactly.

Security focused is rubbish. What does it do to improve the security? I can’t think of any.

I think that you're looking at this from the perspective of it only being implemented in a means of payments. There's literally so many other usages for even just signata alone..

The Signata project aims to deliver a full suite of blockchain-powered identity and access control solutions, including hardware token integration and a marketplace of smart contracts for integration with 3rd party service providers.

The just recently partnered with Chainlink officially. Signata is trying to fix EVERY problem, not just one.
