I'm definitely not a quitter, but I think most of us have had those moments where we lose a bit of hope from failed attempts at internet marketing. Like I said, I'm not one to quit; if I was gonna quit any time, it would have been back when I started when I was 14 years old. I'm 19 now, and I'm still at it, and have had some success here and there. Never going to quit until I make it big.

Nonetheless, like I said, I do lose hope at times when the cash flow just isn't coming.

Before I get to you guys, I'll give my personal favorite way to motivate myself.

I just get up and go for a walk or drive through a rich neighborhood (that sounded kinda creepy, hahaha. But you get the point). Here in California, those types of neighborhoods aren't hard to find; just have to drive a couple of minutes.

Seeing the luxury cars (Ferrari's, Lambo's, etc..) and 10,000 square feet houses really makes me want to work harder.

I'm sure many of you do something similar. Aside from that, what are some other things that really motivate you?

Just take a step back and have a strong coffee, go watch tv or something for about an hour, don't think about anything IM in this time. When you go back to it you will be fresh and might even get some good ideas.

Don't tease yourself with other people's fortunes. Think of what you want in the future and if you work hard enough you might just get it.

Everyone is in this for their own reason, and I respect your opinion. But if I may ask, what is it your in internet marketing for? I mean, what would you like to do with the money? I realize you can do a lot more with money than buy luxury cars, big houses, etc.. I'm just curious what you have in mind.

The way I look at it; you only live once, so go big or go home.

Well, everyone has their own interests (one of yours appears to be traveling). You can not tell me that every single rich person is miserable ;)

I can relate to your post, but I think more important than chasing the $$$ would be to find something that you really ENJOY doing. Then the money comes automatically. Especially with all the knowledge from BHW. And everybody loses hope sometimes just like when we´re cruising with our cars there´s a red light sometimes. Can use it to ponder a bit, to daydream, to make yourself clear again of your goals and then take action towards it when light is green again :)

BTW if I was in america and in your situation I´d sign up with some of the local SEO companies for a while to learn how they sell ... Selling skills will put you ahead in any economic situation and you can basically earn what you want to earn, also sell those houses you mention for example. Or the cars.

Definitely agree with finding something you love to do. Only problem is, sometimes the money ain't in the field you love.

Well, of course  LOL. But what makes you want to work harder?

No worries; a lot of us have been there. Just don't give up buddy. I remember when I first started IM, and read all these stories of people making $xx,xxx a month. I didn't think I'd ever make it there. When I made my hit my first $xx,xxx month, the feeling was indescribable. A feeling of accomplishment is the best way I can describe it.

I can relate to marcoesquandolas. There are many stories on here that get me pumped up and I think that I can do it too. Thankfully, I enjoy IM so reading 4-5 hours after work is a breeze for me. It just sucks having to wake up in the morning going to the day job.

I used to live orange county also and now I'm in the Philippines because I wanted to get out of that corporate job and travel. My money is going to my next trip!

Just remember it take guts and determination to be a success. It's usually the person who works just a little harder or who stays up just a little later working on their website who will have the higher page rank. You have the right attitude.

They say money cant buy you happiness but.....
Have you ever seen a sad person on a wave runner? - Tosh

What drives me is my family and kids.
a nice car and house wont cut it. More money more problems.
BUT...having enough in the bank to not worry for the rest of your life that is another story. Should get your mind off of material happiness and focus on the mental aspect of being financially independent from having to work for any.

    hahaha...! That was funny man!

But on the serious note, what I started doing lately (and it seems to be working) is to have a day out of the week where I do not go online. For anything. No email. No FB. No browsing. Nothing.

For me, I have found that Sunday is the best day to do this.

Sundays I'll spend time with the girlfriend or family. Or I just simply go out by myself, grab a good book and read.

This keeps me from suffering from information overload/paralysis. It keeps my mind fresh and ready to attack the week ahead. Any ideas that you might have during this "time-off" period, just jot them down in your journal and then get back to them during the week.

So I hope this might help you and give you some ideas of what you can do to keep you going.

And since I live close to Santa Monica, CA (USA) --- I enjoy going there to be close to the beach. It helps me keep my mind fresh. :)
