So we did a JV on a BST, I've put up a couple hundred bucks to get samples made, thread design, thread posting fee, etc. He posted the thread, and my support team was going to provide the service instead of running around the thread daily.

Anyways, it's like 2 weeks in and he's pretty much given up. Waste of money and time. It's not worthy of a shit list because I wasn't really scammed but he def still wasted money/time.

Pisses me off.

Had many of those. I'd say check on their linkedin if they have just to check if they're professionals.

Yeah JVs can be a Pain In The Ass.

End it ASAP if he is not interested, contact a MOD & ask them to transfer the tread ownership to you or your co-worker/jv-partner. Maybe have one of your team members run it?

your best bet is to do it solo TBH. finding reliable business partners isn't easy. in the future make sure you ask potential partners questions about their past.. make sure:

they have some kind of history of successful projects

and most importantly

they dont give up when things get tough

That's out of the question. There's no time for that.

I've never had a successful JV from people here. Better to go to more niche targeted communities for what you need. Everyone here is an seo expert once you throw a few hundred dollars in front of their face.

What was he supposed to do?

If you did all the thread design, its your money for samples, its your team that is doing the work.... what did you expect him to actually do?

Yeah, kinda hard to determine what his role was apart from posting the thread.
If his role was to promote the thread and drive traffic then I presume it was discussed prior to launch and he knew what his responsibilities were.
If he isn't carrying it out then you need to communicate with him or dissolve the partnership.
A lot of people really don't get/understand JV's, maybe he needs a little push, ask for a report on what he has done and has got planned, if it isn't up to scratch then dump him.

Don't give up on the idea, I am sure there are other hungry JrVIP's that would like to get involved.

It was honestly to reply to the thread daily, space out the bumps, send the samples out. He did the BHW side of everything and my staff did the rest.

Yeah, this thread caused a few JrVIPs to message me on Skype already.

well you can always get out of JV and ask some one else to get the job done. Don't have much details but the effort in any JV must be 50 - 50

One of the many reasons why I don't go into BST JV's with anyone (and I get at least 2-3+ requests a week).

Hope you resolve it somehow man. Worst case scenario, kick him out and try manage yourself. The last thing you want is someone completely destroying the image/rep of the service/yourself.

Maybe he worked out that what he was getting from the JV wasn't enough?

Out of interest how much was he getting? 50/50 and i'll do it lol

I faced this one issue just 1 year ago and bro I understand how much patience it requires so just take a deep breathe and forget that man.

that's why i always prefer to have a long conversation before JV!
