What Do You Girls Do For Fun

    Just chillin...

Wife and kids are out tonight, should be working, well
    kind of am....sorta.

What do you peeps do for fun? I imagine I am in the older
bracket (almost 27) so smoking weed, partying and that sort
of thing is something I can't relate too, so don't expect a
cool conversation from me on those:D

Typically, living in the Wheat State (So embarrassing) there
ain't shit to do really. The wife won't move as I have begged and pleaded
for about 5 years now. I fish a lot but since Fall is coming it's coming to
an end. I work out like a freak. I was 165 pounds in February but I am currently 6"2 225lbs. Yea, I shot up some weight:eek:

I changed up my cardio workout for about 4 months and went straight to
strength training and putting on more mass. Now that I am where I want to
be, switching back to cardio I have found that both hobbies that once kept me interested and AWAY from the computers are now gone.

I watch movies but jesus I can just download and burn them the second day they are in theaters. Since the wifey got pregnant with our 3rd child my *nightly playtime* has decreased dramatically.

    I bought a boat, a 4 wheeler a motorcycle and 3 cars this year, and I bet I don't drive 100 miles a week. Pathetic.

So take a load off and throw out what you guys (and gals) do for fun, maybe I get some ideas before I decide to bite a bullet. J/K:p

    Have you tried Poker?
Even if you play with small bets then tournaments are quite intresting and who knows, maybe your the next World champion, this year the winner got something like 10m$?

When Im waiting for an email or something poker works for me.

Also, you need a dog, train it, not to be a fighter but a friend for the kids and guardian for the 3 cars ;)

    LOL...

I played at Bodog a few times and have the software on the
computer but the money I make from 888.com and CasinoBlasters
COMPLETELY blows out what I make at *playing* poker. I guess I could
give it a shot as a competitor but I hate traveling so playing in
    person doesn't sound appealing.

I have two dogs. Full blooded Yorkie and a Cocker Spaniel. I used to
hunt but I don't no more so the *big* dogs are both gone.

The thing is that (without telling the story a bunch of times), I truly
enjoy what I do. I really don't want to do anything else, but it's
    like everything else--it gets monotonous.

I truly am a hermit:), but I guess that's the price we pay when
    life changes so dramatically.

{Edit} Poker actually sounds fun as f#ck right now.

    Kudos Dude:)

About Me: I joined the IM business about a year ago after I got married. I was a Scout in the Army, and was attending Special Forces when I got married. Soon after getting married I decided to get out.

When I am bored of reading, or working on my businesses I play Day of Defeat, or work out( I keep a dumbbell set behind me).

I have a 3 month old daughter, so my computer time has dwindled a tad.

Im 22, and like to think I am more mature than most my age. I own a house in Southern Cal which is bigger than my parents , I play a lot of sports so I have lots of toys. This all boils down to a lot of bills...

I love poker, I just don't play it. I prefer A$$hole, which is great when your shwasted. Although, again my "beer time", which is dear to my heart has also dwindled due to the baby.

I also own pretty much every movie that has been released since 2004. Thanks to the inventor of Torrents. The downside to owning every movie, I never have a movie to look forward to.....Im sure a lot of you can relate.

So basically, if I am not at the computer, I am either playing some type of sport, playing with my daughter, or working out.

    Thats pretty much it...

I guess I'm in your age bracket, Ruck (I'm 29). I live in a small coastal town in Georgia, about an hour north of Jacksonville, FL. Not much to do around here either. I surf in FL, when there's waves, and snowboard in NC in the winter. But other than that and the occasional fishing trip, I don't really do jack sh*t.

It's so boring, in fact, that I've recently been pondering military service just to get outta dodge. I'm not really making any money in IM, so I think it may be time to move on. I'm not too keen on the idea of getting my legs blown off in Iraq though, so I was thinking maybe the Navy. World travel, a girl in every port, high-tech training... Then again, who want's to be on a ship for 10-12 months where the guy to girl ratio is like 20:1? I haven't made up my mind yet, but if I do I'll be sure to post a going away message.

Anyway, don't feel bad. Just remember to be happy for everything that you DO have, and always put things in perspective ;) It could ALWAYS be worse!

I am also a machine in the gym, have been for many years.. what type of workout do you do? I prefer working each bodypart only twice per week with high intensity training with a heavy weight. one set to failure then slightly lower weight with one set to failure. works well for me. I am in single digit bodyfat using this, even though its less work than a "volume" workout.

Now for about me, I am slightly older. will be 38 soon, but look like 25 from what everyone says, because i am italian and tan and in top shape with still all my hair and no balding or anything, LOL.

I listen to old school death and thrash metal, just the hardest and heaviest stuff you can imagine. I also watch tons of horror movies, i love them and always have since i was a kid. Especially the old italian 80's ones with tons of gore..LOL, like zombie and cannibal holocaust, and cannibal ferox, etc..

Live with my girlfriend in NJ.. have a cat, beta fish, and a tarantula. They keep my company while she is at work all day, LOL

On weekends, i travel around to perform. I have been an pro wrestler on the northeast US independent wrestling scene for about 13 years, just doing the smaller type shows that run in high schools and armory's, etc. I also choreograph some stunts and fight scenes for some low budget movies, and have acted and starred in about 5 or so. But please don't ask me to give up my anonymity about any of this, because i wont :).. Id like to keep that private.

So while im at home during the week, i do some BH for some cash!

Hey Ruck. Man I am 33 yrs. I must be a senior citizen :D

I really like to play texas holdem. Nothing online, just the live games. I have a english mastiff (200 lbs).

My wife and I are pretty much hermits also. I find myself on the computer most of the time.

Funny, I live in Jacksonville about 5 miles East of JIA. Been here since 1995. Worked at Disney World for the last 5 years till last January when I finally found good employment here in Jville.

I joined the Navy right out of high school. Stayed there for about 12 years and got out right before 9/11. Didn't see much of the world, but did manage to get to Dublin, Ireland and Pompeii, Italy. As for staying out of Iraq by being in the Navy, you still have a chance to go. The husband of one of my wife's co-workers just got called up from the Navy reserves to full active duty and is now in Iraq doing patrols. I also know a few Navy officer's that are going back for their second tour! Joint task force shit sucks!

Oh yeah, my brother's been in Baghdad for 9 months. His base got bombed last week...2 dead 38 injured. Thank God not him!

Anyways, I'll be 36 in December and love my job. I work at a large power plant making electricity, and though it's not always "easy", the benefits are great! I only "work" 14 days out of every 28 days, so it gives me lots of free time to be with my family (wife and 3 kids, ages 14, 9 and 3). With all 3 kids in sports that eats up alot of our time, but it's worth it. I'm an avid hack golfer and usually play at least once per week, breaking into the mid 80's for the first time 3 weeks ago!

As for IM, I've been dabbling in it since 1999. I've had some good years and bad year, but always manage to earn some decent fun $$$. Sure I'd love to make hundred's of thousands of dollars per year from it, but don't really need the money so it's all just for fun:)

As for other hobbies, I'm a bamboo and tropical plant nut, growing over 15 varieties of bamboo, 6 varieties of bananas, numerous palms and several types of old garden roses. I've also got a few S-10 pickup&blazer projects that are unfinished that hopefully will be getting done in the next year.

Oh yeah, once I get my new telescope I'll be getting back into star gazing and doing some deep space photography! (Something like one of these http://www.meade.com/lx200r/ ) Hoping to have it before Christmas so I can get some nice pics of Mars while it's still "close".

Yeah, I know I have lots of odd hobbies.

As for the S-10, here's a video of the air bag suspension in action. Just gotta get the motor back in it, rims, tires and a paint job to get it back on the road...

And it was my pleasure serving my country...it actually got me where I am today! :D

    Kewl booman.
Will be a kewl ride after its all done up.
I guess I am the senior here. I am 41 yrs. and what's fun?
I work and come home and work some more. I used to have some hobbies such as coin collecting, metal detecting, Oh And on Nov. 4th I will be at the Colts vs. Patriots foot ball game, that will be fun. Try to go to 1 or 2 a yr. I am totally trying to stay focused on makeing a liveing from home. I am a medical social worker in a hosp. in Indiana and have been there for 16yrs. with 19yrs. total experience. I am kinda burned out and the hosp. pays about the highest in my field. And the medical field has had a lot of changes and cut backs. Plus I am tired of haveing a boss tell me what to do when they don't know what to do their self. Sorry kinda negative, guess I need to go have some fun. And Ruck you are never too old to do a little partying. Puff Puff Pass. Not that I do anymore, but sometimes I feel like I could. But I know you arent too old cause I see pt's older than me still out there like teenagers.

    Jesus...

Bunch of Senior Citizens around here:)
Don't worry, I am well on my way.

Seriously though, it's refreshing to meet some more people
my age. Most of the time I got to deal with youngins who are
just starting out. While that's all cool and all, (I don't mind it a bit),
it's just refreshing to know that I found a company of the older
    generations.

    Puff Puff Pass.

Yea, good one. I actually dropped all that a long time ago. I went
on a business trip err...vacation;) awhile back in Florida to meet some
good ole boys I met online in another forum and it was quite refreshing, but
damn was I wrecked when I got home. I must have slept 2 straight days when I got back. VERY IRREGULAR. But nice to see some new scenery.

Lana and I have been putting together some plans after the 3rd child arrives, so hopefully that will liven us up a bit. Right now with the oldest boy in preschool and the pregnancy I am kind of pretty much dialed in until spring next year. Which is for the best as I try to get my publishing network off the ground. It's turning into about 100X more work than I ever expected. But, got to love those challenges, they keep us pushing.

I'm having a hard time delegating 'work' and 'play' these days. Ever since my e-biz shot up (5mil/year as we speak, and most profit), i have been working on that. I've got a fiance, a 21month old girl, and a boy due on about 2weeks. I'm 23, so I am probably in most of you guys' range.

I've got two employee's (programmers) that write me shady things all day lol. I have fun with that. OH, and I love disc golf. There's nothing like fling a frisbee-like disc 500+ feet and have your heart stop when it's almost an ace.
