    Dear BHW fellows,

I am still on the path of learning like a Shaolin monk, so I have a lot of questions to the true masters. I have chosen a step-by-step learning curve, asking questions when I do not find clear (for me) posts here on BHW.

This question is related to wikis. I saw that, for example, wikis are recommended for tiers 2 to n. But once you have a list of wiki websites, how do you use them to get backlinks? I would like to know the manual method(s), that will help to better understand how automatic programs do the job. Do you have to write a wiki post with a backlink targeting your n-tier post inside it?

You can use high PR wiki backlinks as first tier
    but din't over do it.

They are great for 2nd and 3rd tier

    Write an article spin it
put your links in this format
    [{www.domain keyword}]

there are plenty of softwares out there for them

I wouldn't ever blast your site with tier 1 wiki's. Use them for tier2 and 3.

^ Be real careful using high PR ones for tier 1. Make sure it's well spun content, spin the anchor text well, spin your target URL, etc. It's also a good idea to spin so that the position of the link changes, the paragraph structures change, etc. You want to leave as little of a footprint as possible.

I use wikis from PR1+ domains to all my money sites using GSA SER and have never had any problems.

Thank you for your answers, but I would like to understand the root of this technique. Like "connect to this wiki site", then "create an account", then ... All the previous answers do not help me neither answer the basic question I asked. Using tools is easy, but I would like to know the process they use. As some of you say, leanr efore automating.
