    Hi,

I have someone spamming the newsletter section of my website. Everyday, I'm getting these spammy email addresses and i know they re definitely not legit cause all of them are all typing errors and not proper email IDs. I do not understand why someone will want to spam? What do they get out of it?

    Can someone kindly tell?

They're probably sabotaging your newsletter, so you end up submitting invalid emails to a bunch of people when the newsletter comes out.

You should always verify the subscriptions by asking the email to click it, otherwise someone can submit random people's emails and you get busted for not being opt-in.

Yes, always go for double opt-ins, which means before you offer newsletters, ask them to click on a conformation link from the email hat they submit to prove that they are their owners.

Guys... Guys.... Enough of this conspiracy talk
About sabotaging maillists. It's just xrumer or something similar filling out every input field it can get its hands on
