Being an autoblog kind of guy, I heard many rumors that Big G's Panda was going to put an end to the autoblog, but what actually happened was I ranked even better than ever, not that I mind.

So what did Panda go after? I've looked around the internet, and found many folks complaining about a loss in their traffic, but they really didn't talk about what they had set up on the back end. CPA, adsense sites, porn ... ?

So, anyone have a clue as to the real target, or targets of the PANDA?

I think the people that dropped were the ones that relied heavily on directories, article directories, and sites like hubpages, etc.
That's why you should have a balanced approach, you'll always be safe.

i don't know, i still have a few auto-blogs on page 1, a couple of them have insane competition. abs auto-translate still works too.

I honestly have no idea, but it went after my sites. I suspect it went after the xrumer blasts I did to the money site.

Not only autoblogs have been affected by panda effect, normal sites with crappy or no content, duplicate content, article content has been affected too. Ezine being the top article directory got a huge penalty too. They had a drop of 70% traffic after panda effect took place. they changed their rule of publishing article and its more tough now to get a article published. So there is no set of rules where a adsense site or a cpa site got affected. Its not only autoblogs but article directories and normal sites too who have been affected. If you will notice minutely, their updates are going on and they are bringing new features to their searches very frequently to searches.

From what I gather, low quality backlinks were devalued somewhat. This created a domino effect.
