1) when i search my medium.com article on google using site modifier site:medium.com/url. No results
2) when i search my articles title. First result is that medium article
I submitted the article to an indexer 2 days back. I believe the noindex tag is still there on the article

How is this even possible?

With so much pressure on Google with so much content all around, there will be more weird and huge problems in indexing in coming days on Google.
 
My article is even ranking 2nd for the target keyword. Whats the point of a domain and a blog at this point, find a parasite and game the google search, much easier and works.
 
same with my sites... the site: url parameter does not lists that url, but general keyword search displays that url.
in GSC, it states, "page is indexed". Now-a-days google's site: modifier does not lists ALL pages indexed, though they are indexed. You can simple paste full URL in search bar without the site: modifier and it works if the page is indexed.

it takes time for all their servers to receive content. the page is already indexed but the complete information is not propagated yet. the parasites part is true. if you have medium-difficulty keywords, you can rank with some parasites without any backlinks. if Google allows spam to rank, we don't need hard work through SEO. we should make as much as possible before they realize it.

This could be the reason, I might be jumping that gun on that one and drawing wrong conclusions. I guess I need to wait a day or two for everything to sync up.
 
apart from what Starblazer had said, it could also be the fact that your article is not actually indexed, but Google is serving you personalized results. That's why - when checking rankings - it's always important to be logged out of your google accounts, clear all browser cookies, use incognito mode, and also use VPN. Either these, or just use a tracking service / software that uses proxies and serves you unbiased results.

Yes, I do all the footprint hiding. That's not the reason.

you can check the page code and look for the noindex tag there. have you tried it?

I figured out what the problem is.
Site: search modifier dont work if I use the full article url because there is a @ in the url.
so if search like this:
site:https://medium.com/ "myMediumHandleGoesHere"
Then all my indexed articles shows up in the result. Yay!
