    Help me out here guys...

I work as a freelancer and my website has been number one in national google for several years.
Now after Panda & Penguin I've been pushed down to forth place and that means no customers at all for me. Haven't made a dollar the last 2 months.

So... I guess I could wrestle my way back up again, but I really feel I'm not in the right headspace to start learning the current SEO-techniques and spend months fiddling with that.
I currently try to focus my mind on learning other business-ideas.

The 3 sites that have passed me is wikipedia and two lame "government"-sties (not .gov domains) that does no SEO whatsoever.
My site has been shifting up and down between 1-4 for about a year, but have now settled on 4:th position in the SERPS. But the up and down suggests to me that there is almost an even tie between the four sites at the top.

I figure that all that I need is a small SEO-boost and that is likely to do the trick in this situation.

    So what I wonder is...

What services would you recommend that could give me a small push up again?

    - I'm almost broke now so the services have to be cheap.
    - I'd like to pay a one-time fee rather than monthly.
    Something on Fiver maybe?

Can you guys recommend a couple of services that could help?

I don't think any gig on Fiverr would push you back up to first. Look around BHW, many people are offering excellent SEO services for a reasonable price.

Start with your on site seo and make certain it's optimized. Here's a couple you can do for free. But if you rather have someone else do it, fiverr will have the gigs.
Make some youtube videos with a link back to your site. This can be done free but I used this fiverr gig that made 3 videos per gig and got 6 videos done for 10 bucks. After youtube also upload them to all other video sharing sites.
Do a press release which you can write yourself or pay someone to write it. Then find a service to distribute it to 100 or more press release sites for cheap.

the best way to get quality work for cheap is to do it yourself

I dont think you will find any quality service on fiverr but a few people have mentioned good ideas as well bwh offers some good people.
I do this type of work but n normal circumstances it is not for a cheap price because it is quality work/results

Don't give advice if you don't know what you're talking about!!

Most cheap services WILL give you a boost for a couple of months until Google decides to do a new refresh or update, then you move from the first page to -50 then you really won't get any traffic.

I'm presuming you do webdesign or something like that? Bare in mind that its Decemeber, It's Christmas and people are more skint than previous years with vcredit crunch blah blah

If your meta-data enough to entice your potential clients? Don't decide for youself but get a friend or family member to take a look and see what they say. It's really hard to be harse with youself so get someone else to look and give you feedback, and don't tell them what you're actually looking for.

Have you looked at your backlinks? Still gor the same amount as you did a month ago? What's your anchor text like? Overkill? Trashy links?

A sitemap and onsite SEO I think is critical. Make sure you have good content.

why not try Fiverr and SEO Clerks and buy some services with good ratings since you are on a very tight budget.

i hope that was a troll dude.

Make sure your onsite SEO is perfect. If you're not sure, then get a professional to review it.

Then start thinking about a solid backlink profile, with a bunch of contextual links from authority websites in your niche. You can also make a couple of tier 1 linking to your main website and point a few fiverr blasts to those.

SEO isn't rocket science in theory, it just takes patience. Most people think its too hard and give up, when actually its just a long term thing. If you want short term results, look into PPC.

Whow! I'm very impressed with the responsiveness of this forum. I will have to start hanging here more frequently! :)

As for on site SEO and sitemap I think I'm already set there (unless onsite SEO has changed much in the recent years).
I figure as I'm already not getting any jobs at all from 4:th place in the SERPS I may as well give some services a shot and either "make it or break it". I don't have the energy or drive (since it is currently needed elsewhere) to claw my way back up myself.

Much good advice was shared here. Thank you fellows! Much appreciated!!

    welcome to bhw :p
btw.. as wannabie suggested.. check your backlinks.. are they still there or you got a drop?

i think you don't need to bother that much.. just create a few backlinks with unique content.. some unique web2, articles, social bookmarks and you're done!
