Will making too many posts in BlackHat Lounge in a single day causes you to get banned? I found that a user Free_Ebook was banned and I also observed that s/he had also incidentally made many posts here too, just before s/he got banned. Maybe s/he was banned for other reason(s). That is why I am trying to verify it now. :o

I wouldn't know much about the actual reason, but if it's too many posts in the Lounge, I would say it is fair enough - especially if s/he was a relatively new user just trying to increase her/his post count.

The requirements to achieve certain levels of memberships on this forum based on the number of posts has been made for a reason. It is meant to reward those who contribute knowledge and value to the forum and a lot of posting in the lounge can hardly qualify as contributing value.

I don't know about this user and it is possible that s/he might have been banned for some other reason. Just felt like putting forth my views on this :)

Banned (ostensibly) for making useless, spammy posts. People who just post to crank up their postcount are just taking up space.

Useless posts piss us off... and not only us, cause we have to moderate them, but also the members of this forum cause they are wasting their time reading useless waste.

I do not know why he was banned, it might have been to a lot of reasons, or accumulation of infractions.

I had my eyes on him and I knew full well it was coming his way. Posting in a specific forum I doubt would get you banned but useless posts like NF said is worthless.

The reason free_ebook was banned is listed as "25 irrelevant one line posts on year old threads". The user received 2 separate infractions about this, including one from me back in January. Guess he/she didn't learn their lesson.
