I have benn trying to get good images for blog post but i realise that some are labelled as "Editorial use only" which according to google means
The Editorial Use Only license means that the image cannot be used for commercial advertising purposes
Now, what if i use an images that is Editorial use only on a blog post that is educational and benificial to public readers and also give full credit to the owner. However, in my blog post i happen to mention products that readers could buy if they were to take my advice in full consideration.
    • The post is educational and good
    • No direct advertising
    • Credit to owner
    • Not advertising what is in the photo directly. (I talk about shoes and use photo of a foot
Is it too risky or is it OK to use photos in these situations?

I don't know if it is OK. But I know something for sure. We have a lot of photos that are not editorial use only. Why not find those?

I do use those. But, it does not hurt to have knowledge of these things especially if we are involved in the blogging world.

Just do it and you will find out if there are any consequences. There might be none. The key word is "might".

Chances are, as is the case of many blogs and websites, no one will either notice or even care.

I do not like the way things are subject to chance here. I am going to google it properly again and see who does it.
