I can't seem to find the appropriate section on the forum for this inquiry so I'm posting this here. Let's say I have a list of websites (100's) and I would like to check the websites validity (to see if the site is what it appears and not a scam) and to check and see if the site hosts some form of shitware, like malware, ransomware, adware, spyware, virus, etc,. The only way I currently know to check for shitware is to have AVG running and/or to have Malware Bytes running while browsing the site. So for example I could run either of those, or both, and visit each site in turn to see if I get any warnings. I just feel like this isn't enough or that I could miss something. If I wanted to be REALLY THOROUGH about this process what would you all suggest to me? I would really appreciate everyone's thoughts, suggestions, and recommendations on this subject. What sort of software I can 'run against' a site, software to run while browsing a site, a website/application that has reports about websites that may have hosted malware (IE: avg threat labs.), maybe a step by step process I can run against a website, third party logs, etc,. Anything I can use to compile a small log on each website I test. So if you can think of anything let me know. It is much appreciated! Thanks in advance. EDIT: If you know of a better place on this forum for me to post this let me know and i will move it there.
