Not looking to get them into Blackhat.

Thinking of WP website building as one possibility.

Any other suggestions, or simple things that they can do to earn money from third party (with adult supervision).?

Thanks for the responses so far!

Already on the docket, and already has some intro to it. Python might be easiest. Though might gear it more to PHP, HTML css, etc.. Looking for skills that can be monetized a bit more quickly - not sure if specific language vs those around website services will work out better.

Not at all deep. But one of the best ways to learn is to teach. Looking to expand my own skills there anyway, and already have a technical background so no problem digging into and kicking this up a few notches.

Maybe SEO research to begin with - is that what you mean? Content creation - ah, maybe find a small money maker site targeting kids own age? I like that idea. Probably not ready for business level content yet.

Depends on what you mean. Awareness - yes. How to safely handle downloads, just in case - yes. Creating or trading them - not if they are copyrighted.

Way back in the dark ages when there was just dial up, I set my kids up with a t-shirt business when they were in middle school. It's a nice business for kids because they can sell to their friends.
