I mean lets say an I7 6700K which is one of the latest CPUs on market.

You can't have "best I7 6700K" since it makes literally no sense, however "buy I7 6700K" or "cheap I7 6700K" are also plagued with very very high authority sites like it's expected.

How do you even target keywords when it's about a specific product

    What about "I7 6700K Review"

    provide content, then sell.

Well yeah, competition will be high for the obvious ones. Add any words related to buyer intent, sale, review, best, cheap, discount, offer etc. Or longtail it.

You can append even more keywords to general buying keywords.

For example: instead of "buy I7 6700K", optimize for "where to buy I7 6700K", "cheapest buy for I7 6700K", "where to buy cheapest I7 6700k" and etc.

The longer the keyword, the STRONGER the intent is.
