    Hey BHers,

I want to start learning about the stock market and trading. I know a little, but very little. Obviously, I want to start off by learning the basics. For anybody in the market, are there a specific book(s) you can vouch for? I know there's a lot of crap out there, so I'd like to hear what you guys recommend.

    Thanks everyone

I'd fight anyone in the virtual world but in the real world I go running down the hill.

It's like that in trading environments too. You might invest like Warren Bufett in virtual trading but how will it go with real money?

What I'm getting at is that understanding your own approach to real world risk is a good place to start. There are books that deal with this but it's too long ago in my reading to make a good recommendation.

"Trading in the Zone: Master the Market with Confidence, Discipline and a Winning Attitude" is an epicly good read (don't let the title put you off). There a plenty others, but this is a great starting point to what can be a real mine field. Good luck!
