This feature is heavily abused (a lot of SMM panels ask for payment this way) as it cannot be disputed. I see this when someone asks for this as form of payment as bad because it is basically abusing a Paypal could result in your account being flagged/banned.

    Thoughts?

No matter what when you pay for a SMM panel service you are violating PayPals terms regardless.

With F&F you are forfeiting the right to dispute the transaction - and it used to be feeless. I believe you now still pay fees on this.
From PayPals perspective F&F is great as they get the fees without any risk of having to mediate chargebacks.

That being said, PayPal will ban you for no rhyme or reason anyways.

I'd never pay anyone using F&F nor would I accept F&F payments (been asked a bunch of times to receive like that).

I'll pay the fees associated with a normal payment.

I think it is a bad process offered by PP but I'm not as smart as them so there may be a legit reason to offer it.

If you don't know someone and they are asking you to pay upfront via friends and family PayPal, it is very likely a scam

I accept F&F payments. But i never ask for them. Sometimes people just do it on their own volition. Its always nice when it happens :)

For paying, i dont mind paying as F&F as long as i teust the seller and have done business in the past and its not a huge amount.

But at the end of the day its not like youre super protected if you pay regularly. You can pay normally, get nothing and get ignored by the seller/scammer, appeal using paypals process, and they still reward the money to the scammer.

Paypal is shit. Try to use other payment processors as much as possible. Moat of them have lower fees than paypal too.

PP offers this as a courtesy so you can receive non-profit money from folks who already paid their fee. It's a way for PP to avoid double fee.

If you're selling, then pay the damn fee, PP is offering you a service after all.

Pay a little bit more and be safer. There is a saying in my country: a pricey buyer cries once while a cheapass cries all the time.

One might argue that that's because the "pricey buyer" ran out of spending money couldn't help myself

I wouldn't use F&F unless you actually know and trust the person.

A red flag. A scammer's favourite payment method. Avoid like the plague unless you know the person.
