    Hello guys,

I have just discovered that Google has created a new version of reCAPTCHA, a tool that protects your site from spam and abuse without having to solve a CAPTCHA.
For those who never heard about it go here: https://www.google.com/recaptcha/intro/index.html

If it does what it is supposed to do, it can increase a website user-friendliness while keeping the same level of security against bots.

Nevertheless, if you visit https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api2/demo, there is a CAPTCHA to solve, but after you click on "I am not a robot". That makes me thing about a Turing test :D.

It seems that the system is pretty good compared to others, and it is free of charge.

Have you already tried it on your websites? Or is it only another way for Google to get more and more information about us?

well, it's almost half a year old news, but i'm not sure if it's better or not
sometimes don't, but randomly i still need to solve captchas or even select images, not just ticking the "i'm not a robot" box and it's happenning on the same ips quite irregularly without any pattern to notice, on ips which i use at home and considered to be good, no abuse from them, i can only imagine how frustrating can this be for coders/programmers, who build tools for sites which uses this new recaptcha

from the user point of view i also preferred the old recaptcha, because you always needed to solve a captcha no matter what and you knew what to expect, now you need to click in a box, if you're lucky, that's it (best case scenario), if you aren't this lucky, you need to solve a captcha (it's already slower than before: tick box+solve captcha) and if you're extremely unlucky, you need to identify a few stupid pictures, all in all i think the whole process got slower and more irritating even for an everyday user, not just for those who use captchabreakers in bots
