For example those cool shoes photos or jewelry / tumblr style ones.
I mostly use deviantart.com for most of the pictures or photos i need.
depend on the niche
for HQ free images, pixabay is a good source https://pixabay.com/
Reddit, Tumblr, Deviantart
Instagram itself with 4k Stogram
I've been getting pics from instagram.com...by using the Inspect Element feature to save the jpg from the link. Trying out 4k Stogram now. Good info!
Instagram and dinsta.com or savedeo (for videos)
I usually use several sources when it comes to photos. The first one is flickr even though it has very limited phoos. In the event that I do not get the photos that I am looking for, I use google and then do some editing on them. At times the google photos are of low quality and therefore need to be careful when you want to use them.
google images lol
I am a designer, I always use Pixabay.
I would suggest unsplash.com personally. Mediocre database but you do not have to credit anyone. Pretty neat!
I use Reddit or Instagram
I have been using Pexels for a while now. The quality is incredible, although the database is small. I'm working on developing a custom hand-curated free HQ image website as a side project. Fingers crossed on that one.
This is what I use, as well. I use Flickr too, but I make sure I check the license box that says "commercial use and mods" allowed.
Edit: Are you allowed to take picture from Instagram and put them on your site? I'm guessing you have to at least attribute the photo to the author. Another issue I have with Instagram, unless I've been using it wrong, it that all the photos appear to be sized to a certain resolution. This makes it hard for me to crop and resize photos for my size without making the image distorted. Lately, I've been trying to make sure all the photos on my site are the size size for a better user experience.
Flickr never lets me down
