Purchase commercial property. Rates are ridiculous in San Diego though, but if I can manage to land one, its value goes up well as opposed to a bunch of acres in a rural area that only increase to match inflation over time.
Aside from that, school is a huge priority as well as my fulltime job. Just reading everything I can trying to absorb as much knowledge as possible.
I have a part-time job and I want to earn the same pay but in less time in 2020. I like to have a part-time job where you can have co-workers and have pizza parties etc... I don't like being lonely all day.
I feel you. I'm starting University at age 30 and I have the feeling that I should have done it 10 years ago but here we are.
As for being 30, dont even sweat it, at CC, there are plenty of adults there. Try to take night classes if you can, all older people and the younger ones under 20 have a different sense of priority and are more mature. Plus, its filled with single MILF's all clambering for a man. Day school is cancer, rife with stupidity around every corner.
You're not too old at all, no one ever is. When I got out of the Marines, I felt like, I wasted alot of time and couldn't go to school, I felt worse when school started because I would talk to my peers from high school and as they were all finishing their degrees, I was barely starting mine.
It subsided as i realized that my peers had no sense of how hard life gets once you get kicked out of moms basement lol.
The professors take age into account as well and never give an older student any shit. You'll see what I mean when you overhear an 18 or 19 year old students conversation in class:
"gosh my day is so difficult! I cant stand being an
adult!"
"Omg what happened!"
"Starbucks is closed!!!!!"
....and then you and the professor both just make eye contact after hearing this, not saying a word, but you both know what you're thinking.
