According to this artice, changing the anchor text of a backlink will make google trust it less. What are your experiences with this? I changed some anchor texts foolishly before reading the article, and now I think I may be wasting my PBN links because Google could have devalued them, but I don't know for sure. Have any of you noticed links becoming weaker, or completely devalued from changing the anchor text?

Edit: also forgot to mention that I changed the texts more than once (stupid, I know).

    10% Generic

    This is what I use!

I guess that if a large percentage of your anchor text is changing then its not going to be a good sign to Google. But I wouldnt worry too much about it, i doubt its going to be an over-riding signal to Google. More important is that you have the ratios correct going forward.

This is not true....Google won't devalue a backlink because of its anchor text change, because simply it is not a devauation factor. You are asking this because probably you saw a drop in your rankings.

So basically what you did, you just changed the anchor text diversity. What you have to do now, is to check if you have over or under optimized your keywords, make the proper changes to your Link Diversity Strategy and you should be ok.

    Hope that helps!

wow. here come "famous" industry experts". cool. I have to trust them. they use a flashy logo.

    I call them "copyandpasteseobloggers".

only thing they reall "build" are nofollow links via guestbosts to their own worthless blogs with no competition and no commercial value keywords..
