There are many horror stories about Paypal. I am trying to explain to a person that I will leave anonymous, however what have you lost? Have any articles that you have bookmarked or something that was about Paypal closing account with lots of money.

Wouldn't any person in the right mind, hire a good lawyer and sue Paypal?

i got jacked for my wheels and tires that i sold on ebay, sold them for 2500 bucks and the guy did a chargeback....paypal took out the money from my bank account, that blows......called paypal and nothing ever happened i went to a few lawyers to press charges against the buyer or do something with paypal and they were charging me 250-600 just to look into the case and if we went to trial or something ti would be more, so it wasnt worth it for me.

Yeah PP has to many loop-holes for a$$holes to exploit. The seller has little protection against buyers and charge-backs. It clearly states that digital products are buy and done NO CHARGEBACKS because they can still keep the product once charged back. If that isn't a cache-22 I don't know what is. Everytime some a-hole does on chargeback on digital products I still have to explain and wait 3 weeks for PP to realize that it was for a digital product. That really blows.

Since PP povides no real protection for sellers, and is not even a real banking institution or merchant account, treat them accordingly. Protect yourself by setting up accounts with faux or pseudonym ID (use VCC and VBA, so they can't yank money out of your bank). Where you can, accept money from people as in gift/personal form only, so that the money transfer can't be reversed (since it's not a 'business transaction'). This is especially the case when working places like DP where reversals are rife.

Use other options for accepting money where available (money orders/checks, credit/debit cards, etc) if a third party site is handling the transaction (Clickbank, Tradebit, Trialpay, and so on). Don't avoid PP, just don't make it the unbalaced central pivot for your online financial operations.
