I have had about 20 of these "comments" on one of my sites... I can't figure out the reasoning behind it.. maybe someone could share their thoughts on it (I know one of the links os prob theirs...but why do the others)

Well, I just have 5700 of those kind of comments in my blog of course with diff ip and url. And you know what? My comments database are crashed and had to re-install the table.

Just activate the latest reCaptcha plugin it will filter the spammers...

thats messed up, the wrong anchore text for the domains.

it almost looks like software gone awry. Like it was supposed to spin anchore and it messed it all up. Probably supposed to post 1 link per post also.

    Id say EPIC FAIL!

@jforinfo sorry to hear that. Yes I have the Akismet setup to catch them...plus I only allow TWO links in a comment (any more automatically kicks it to spam folder)

I agree that one are theirs...but here's an example of another one... all of which I KNOW they dont own LOL

The software is working perfectly... This is just the way that your blog is filtering/displaying the comment. The html is correct.

This is simply a test. I understand exactly what they are trying to do with these blasts.

The many urls are to try several things at once to test effectiveness. i stuff my personal posts in a less dense, but similar manner. This makes more effective use of the tool/bandwidth/server.

Don't worry about it... You will get tons of things like this everyday.

Akismet is your best bet for the filters.

If comment spammers want to spend real cash to bypass recaptcha, there is a plugin that does just that, but it costs like 2cents per captcha. This really adds up with 5 million link blasts. Most people that comment spam do not use plugins like this due to the cost and additional likelyhood that the post will be deleted anyway.

Akismet is a better solution because it will block after about 15 similar comments. even randomizing almost everything, you will reach 15 similar posts (activate akismet) before the blast is through.

I think that these are the preview spam comments. The site owner will later if these comments are alive on the blogs and compile a list of such blogs to comment spam later.

Really?? I've am preparing a "thank you for your honesty" musical montage...I will email it to you. Your Malware/virus protection will say there is something VERY SERIOUSLY wrong with the EXE it's packaged in...but not to worry...its a false positive and filled with the music of Barry Manilow... :D
