I need to know this for the website I'm programming but this is not a programming-related question.

Does PayPal allow people without a valid credit card or $0 funds to sign up for a 3-day trial then $x/month subscription? Is the payment failing after the trial expires a common occurrence?

Black hatters, please explain to me any ways you know to get around the trial system so I can account for it in my code.

There should be no reason why PayPal would not allow people with $0 balance to sign up for trials. As long as there is a CC or bank account linked to PP, I don't see any problem, and if the balance is still $0 when the trial expires, a payment will be taken from the CC or bank acc. If those fail as well, then the subscription will be cancelled after a couple of days (afaik, PP makes several attempts to collect money before cancelling the subscription)

Thanks. Yep I'm aware of the multiple attempts. That part seems to be documented okay.
