Recently I've just been copy and pasting sometimes the whole article onto my site only changing the keywords.

Usually tho I'll copy and paste a bunch of sentences from diff sites then just rearrange them and post.

So what could be the consequences for such practices?

Most of these sources are either wikis or blurbs for a product so it isn't like its something ppl are gonna be checking I imagine.

    copyscape-

Your rankings will be effected. Atleast spin the content or else you will find yourself wasting time. Go to a freelance site and put up a post requesting articles to be written for you

Well... obviously Google might not like that so much. Why not write new stuff... is the site too big?

If you're not attributing it to the original author they could potentially sue you for copyright infringement. More likely they will ask you to take it down if they find you.

If you're just straight copying it without changing much don't expect to rank well. You can rank with it but it's always better to mix it up with some other content too.

Im just doing a splatter gun approach atm with microniche sites. So doing one new kw a day and blasting them then focusing on the ones that seem most promising.

Yesterday I changed it up a bit and will prob keep doing it like this: I just copy and paste like 5 sentences from a cpl diff sources related to the kw. I then shuffle the sentences around randomly. Add in my own kws and reword bits here and there.

That pretty much counts a 'original content' I think.

Aside from possibly getting your ass sued, posting non-original / duplicate content to your money site is like SEO suicide. Tons of measures have been taken by SE's to stop this kind of on-site spam. Your money sites need original content, otherwise all your blasting will be in vain. Save the crap for your AMR blasts or whatever. But even then you should be working from a unique seed article.
