I am planning to start selling high TFCF domains here and I am having some issues:
For example almost always the TFCF in fresh index is much higher than the historic ones. And i am talking big differences.
On the otherside the referring domains and backlinks is much higher in the historic index.
Does the historic index contains also the deleted backlinks?
Does the fresh index contain only the live backlinks?

In terms of how they work the only differency between them is the timescale.

So fresh only keeps the last few days/weeks of data, historic has everything.

The only problem is that the historic index is updated rarely ( maybe once per month )

For checking the CF/TF, I'd only use the Fresh Index as it's the most recent data.

Fresh Index is updated like daily and it tends to have a higher probability of containing live links found than those from the Historic Index. For Fresh Index, I believe you can see both live and deleted links from the last 60-90 days. With the Historic Index, you can see both live and deleted links from the last 5 years.

Most people use fresh index to show metrics of expired domains for sale.

Forget the historic index. All you need is the fresh index. The historic index contains links that the page/url has had since inception, most of which are probably dead.

Historic Index as a note is good for checking abuse of domains
