Hey guys, what are the ways you are using to reduce bounce rate on your site. My site bounce rate is over 95% and time spent according to analytics is only few seconds. What can and should be done please.

High quality content, quizzes, videos, stylish infographics and polls. Basically anything that will keep the user engaged and on your website.

Why is your website better than the competitors when it comes to your niche? Make them want to be excited by reading your content or engaging with your videos.

Create top 10 lists type blog posts. Readers will scroll down to read if it's interesting.

Dose Google take into consideration meta from bounce rates when scoring your content or part of it indexing algorithm ?

On what page bounce rate is happening the most? on all pages where traffic lands or on a certain page?

E.g.: If most of the traffic lands on the home page and bounces from there but doesn't bounce from the internal/article page > try to direct your traffic to internal pages.

Apart from this, you should also look into interlinking. I have seen user engagement going up with proper interlinking and it also add up value in ranking organically

Your site has slow loading speed. Users are waiting for a few seconds before closing window. That's what I can infer from the details. This is also the case with most sites with >90% bounce rate.

I’m not sure what kind of site we’re talking about here, but if it’s a basic content-driven blog, you obviously need to upload more interesting articles, listicles, and whatever else you can think of. It just comes down to keeping your readers’ interest, and you do that by having grammatically correct content that’s relevant to the niche and fun to read. It’s as simple as that. Oh, and as the other commenters have mentioned - site speed is also hugely important.

For a bounce rate that high page speed is usually the main factor.

Try to add the high quality and good readability content, sliders, polls or quiz and must do the interlinking as much as you can.

No other information? We all get to make assumptions then? Please provide more detail:

You could have a single page that is redirecting to something else in which case a 95% bounce shows that's working.

    Where is that bounce happening?

Do you have more than 1 page is traffic clicking off and going deeper? In which case things can be done and improved upon to figure that, if not then you need to address the exit rate the same as a bounce but it's clear people are just spamming the back button.

Have you looked at the traffic source and broken that down to make sure you are not being hit by ghost or spam traffic?

What are people searching for i.e look in WMT find out popular search KWs is your page then with the high bounce ranking for any of them? An example is your page talking about 'fresh fruit' but you are listed for the keyword 'red apple paint'

What is the page load time/server response time?

You are posting such an open-ended question with no other information all anyone can do here is give assumptions.

I use long form content with infographic breaks.

I also interlink heavily to maximize dwell time
